How to Join SCOGUI
If you would like to come to a taster session, drop an email to email@example.com and we’ll send you more info.
To sign up for SCOGUI, make sure that you are logged into the website (LSU.co.uk), and click on the join button below to add it to your basket. Then click checkout and go through the process to get your membership. You may also need to get societies insurance (£5.50) if this is your first society but this will cover you for all societies for the entire year!
Details of each of the membership types are below, if you need any further information on which one to purchase please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Standard (Current Loughborough Student) Membership
This is for anyone who is currently a student at Loughborough University (undergraduate or post-graduate courses) and gives you access to all SCOGUI Tuesday activities and socials throughout the year, access to all of our camps for the year, membership to SSAGO (our parent organisation), and a DBS check (required for some events).
Graduate (Former Loughborough Student & Union Life Member) Membership
This is for anyone who has been a student at Loughborough University (and is no longer a student, but is a Life Member of LSU) and gives you access to all SCOGUI Tuesday activities and socials throughout the year, access to all of our camps for the year, membership to SSAGO (our parent organisation), and a DBS check (required for some events).
As part of the process of joining SCOGUI you'll be asked to fill out a health form. These let our committee and first aiders know how to cater for your needs and allow our activities to be more inclusive. As SCOGUI does such a wide range of activities (that often involve food!!) we need to make sure that everyone is catered for. This step also means that we won't be constantly asking you for the same information throughout the year.
Any information that you provide will be kept in accordance with the LSU Data Protection Policy and will be destroyed at the end of the academic year.
