Loughborough Marrow Society
Saving the lives of people with blood cancer. In association with Anthony-Nolan.
Marrow is the student branch of Anthony Nolan, a charity that is dedicated to saving the lives of those with blood cancer.
Marrow helps to save the lives of people with blood cancer. We work alongside Anthony Nolan and other Marrow groups in the country to sign young people up to the stem cell register. People with a diagnosis of blood cancer may need a lifesaving stem cell transplant. For this to be possible, they need a match, which can be found on the Anthony Nolan register.
Throughout the year, we will run a variety of events, from donor recruitment drives, to fundraising events to socials. In order to run all these events we need amazing volunteers just like you! You will receive training where needed and all our events are flexible so we are grateful for as little or as much time as you can give us!
How to get involved…
All of our events will be announced on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/LoughboroughMarrow/) so make sure you go like it so you can stay up to date with all the events taking place! This is also the best way to get hold of us if you have any questions.
Join Marrow to be involved in a society unlike any other and make a real difference to people all over the world. It's an incredible thing to do and you never know, you could be the one to save a life.
If you want to join our society then you can head over to our societies page (https://www.lsu.co.uk/society/loughboroughmarrow/) and buy your membership! When you sign up we’ll give you a free marrow t-shirt to wear for when you volunteer with us.
