International Day 2016 was a record breaking one!

Last Wednesday, on 16th November, our annual International Day was held in the Union and it was a record breaking one!

With over 1700 Loughborough students and staff attending including our Vice Chancellor and the Mayor and Mayoress of Charnwood, 47 countries represented and several cultural performances, International Day was an unbelievable success!

After a month of organising the event, the stallholders have laid out some incredible decorations, food, music and traditional clothing!

Have you seen the fantastic dresses form the Mexican stall? Or tasted the homemade Indonesian food? Or took part of the Romanian traditional dancing?

International Day is the biggest day time event happening in the Union building and it celebrates our wonderful cultural diversity we have here at Loughborough! We are extremely proud of our international/exchange/Erasmus students who come from a long way to study at Loughborough University and we are everyday thankful for the contribution that they bring throughout their time here.

To the stallholders, visitors, staff and anyone involved with this year’s International Day, thank you.
