Community Fun Day 2017 was a huge success

LSU Community Fun Day was once again a great success made possible by almost 100 Action volunteers who spent the afternoon manning stalls, face painting, tattooing and generally entertaining families from the local community, giving them a jolly good day out.

There were donkey rides, balloon modelling, a petting zoo, fun fair, student performances, a bubbleologist (!) to name just a few of the attractions that contributed to this wonderful event.

Although the event is a not-for-profit event with the ethos of providing families with young children an inexpensive day out, a total of £613 was raised which will be split between Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Now and local charities.

The Action department would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who played a part in making the event so successful.
