Created in 2015, the Sport Senate is a committee made up primarily of volunteers who represent the students that engage with the variety of opportunities and programmes available within Loughborough’s sporting offer.

The group meet weekly to discuss areas of change within the sporting offer, provide opinion on topics brought to the group by staff members, share best practice between sporting programmes, and represent the student voice relating to sport at Loughborough.

For the year 2017/18, the Sport Senate members have decided to explore a number of areas relating to sport at Loughborough. This entails various amounts of research and evaluation in the areas of para-sport, welfare & diversity in student sport, support for volunteers, and the cost of sport to students. The group aim to produce some written material by the end of the academic year to report on their findings to the student body.

The members of the Sport Senate will change each year as with the cycle of student volunteers.
For the 2017/18 academic year, please see below for this years members and how to contact them.
