Uganda

Based in a shared volunteer house in a rural village near Kampala, volunteers work in a local primary boarding school run by CALM Africa and in the surrounding villages on the Community Outreach Programme.

In the school, volunteers may teach a class, play sports, read with children or help in the development of the school – you can use your skills and initiative to really make a difference. The Community Outreach Programme involves visiting families and local groups to provide support and help improve their way of life in sustainable ways.

Evenings and weekends are free time for you to explore the beautiful and interesting country of Uganda. You can visit the beach in Entebbe, go on safari, do white water rafting on the Nile, stand on the Equator…and much more!

Expected fundraising cost: £1200 including flights (excludes any additional travel or sightseeing costs).
