Open Door is a fun and extremely rewarding project that provides you with the opportunity to visit a local Mencap home and socialise with the residents.
Mencap residents all have some degree of learning disability and the opportunity to socialise, created by the Open Door Project, is invaluable to them, with both parties gaining new skills and friendships.
The Open Door project visits the home weekly, with flexible hours for volunteers. Activities include: arts & crafts; puzzles; trips to the pub; games; trips to see Leicester Tigers and Leicester Football Club.
This Project requires you to have an Action DBS certificate. Please click here for more information about the DBS
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to take part in this project
