Language Support Scheme

This project aims to give volunteers the opportunity to practice their language skills with student volunteers and give context to their language studies by gaining an awareness of their culture. It is a great opportunity for all involved to socialise with students who have shared global interests and would like to share their knowledge with others.

Activites

Language Support Scheme 

Language Support Scheme is a weekly session where you can learn a language through conversing with a native speaker (Language Leader).

 

Dates: 17th Oct - 22nd May
Day: Wednesday
Location: G002, G003, G block
Time: 5:00pm - 6:30pm

 

Volunteers:

Are you interested in helping others learn your language? If you are, we have great news for you. We are looking for Language Leaders for our weekly Language Support Scheme sessions.
As a Language Leader, you get volunteering hours, which looks good on a CV, and a complimentary Action volunteers t-shirt.
Commitment is not compulsory.

English Conversational Club

English Conversational Club is a bi-weekly (every week) session where you learn English through conversing with a native English speakers.

This will start up after LSS and is typically much smaller than LSS so we will cater for the demand. 

Day:  Saturday 

Volunteers:

As a volunteer, you get volunteering hours, which looks good on a CV, and a complimentary Action volunteers t-shirt.
Commitment is not compulsory.
