Come and spend 10 days in Haiti in Summer 2017, volunteering at The Andrew Grene High School and exploring the country’s rich artistic heritage.
Established in 2010 following the country’s devastating earthquake, The Andrew Grene Foundation delivers education and microfinance projects. Our high school provides full time education for 320 students, in a country where 80% of students drop out of high school because they cannot afford to go.
This is a unique opportunity to teach art and craft at the school, enabling students to produce items to sell. The experience includes cultural activities, e.g. visits to the Museum of Art, a Rum factory and the Digicel Foundation, and ends with an overnight stay in Jacmel, home to a vibrant arts scene and great beaches.
The approximate cost will be £1500 - £2000 for flights and accommodation. Food, security and transport costs are covered by the Foundation.
