All Stars Cricket

Looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation? Want to work with young people in sport? Read on!

All Stars Cricket is a national junior programme developed by the ECB and its Elite Coach Development team that aims to inspire the next generation of 5 to 8 year old cricketers. The programme will teach kids the skills to play cricket, through fun game based activities which promote motor skill development (supporting the development of 9 out of 10 Fundamental movement skills).

Every All Stars Cricket centre will need a volunteer Activator (Action Hero!) who is able to excite and inspire kids to want to stay involved. They will receive free training and support in order to ensure a great first experience for kids and their parents; with sessions planned to run for approximately 8 weeks between May and September across the whole of the country. You don't have to stay in Loughborough to take part as you can lead sessions at a club near home, even taking part in the programme with multiple clubs.

With the curriculum provided No prior knowledge of Cricket is necessary, all you need is a passion for making a difference, excellent planning and organisation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people. Training will take place on campus on 30th March, there will be online training to complete prior to the main session.
