After School Homework Club

The After School Club is a brand new Action project which involves volunteers helping and assisting maths teachers in running after-school GCSE preparation sessions at Limehurst Academy, a fantastic secondary school in the heart of Loughborough. The aim of the After School Club is to ensure students feel prepared to take their maths GCSE exams and to feel confident in their ability. GCSE exams are fundamental for young people’s futures, and it is essential that they are able to reach their full potential.

You don’t have to be a maths genius - you just need a passion for helping others and to be enthusiastic about working with young people! The project will allow you to make a positive impact on the community; having the opportunity to work alongside the teachers to help the students is so rewarding. It will provide you with so many skills, look amazing on your CV, and will give you valuable experience if you’re considering a teaching career in the future.

The After School Club runs for one hour a week, so it’s flexible with your timetable and other commitments and perfect for those with a busy schedule!
