Francesca Hobbs - Arts Programme President
About Me and Your Programme Rep Team
My name is Frankie, I am a Part B 3D Design: New Practice student and I am your Programme President for the School of the Arts (SOTA) this academic year (2014-15), meaning it is my job to ensure that everyone in the School is happy and enjoying their studies by communicating between Students, the University and the Students Union, co-ordinating with the department's team of Programme Reps and supporting them with their role throughout the year.
Your Programme Rep (PR) team consists of 26 democratically elected students, representing all of the courses in the School. The PR's and I work closely with academic staff to discuss matters relating to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes raised by both staff and students, debating relevant items at termly SSLC (Staff Student Liason Committee) meetings along with other departmental committees such as the Learning and Teaching Committee and Department Committee.
The PR team and I will be working hard to keep everyone in the School up to date with departmental news and any changes within the school. We will endeavor to answer and reslove any questions or problems you have to do with your department, programme and school. You can find a list of your PR's here! If you are interested in becoming a PR or next year's Programme President please feel free to contact me or Student Voice and we will be in touch.
Please join the Official SOTA Facebook page for this Academic year, and the SOTA Twitter account, this way we can keep you up to date with everything that is going on in the School from visiting lecturers to socials!
