Signpal

Signpal is a valuable true 32-bit program with powerful features to fulfill all sign-making needs, from basic Apprentice level through to more advanced Master levels. The program is available for Windows 98, 2000, NT 4.0 and XP.

Apprentice
Signpal Apprentice Software, the sign maker's first choice, offers all the necessities to any sign business wanting to produce straight forward text and designs, combined with excellent import facilities.

Expert
Signpal Expert Software is a mid-level product for professional sign makers who require advanced vinyl cutting tools. It includes full design, auto-tracing functions, shadows, inline/outline and multiple text features.

Master
Signpal Master Software is a total solution for any sign making business with its own spell-checking function, 600 high-quality fonts and 600 graphics, bitmap editing facilities and multiple distortion options.

• Adobe PostScript 3 SignPal provides users with true Adobe PostScript 3, a reliable and compatible tool for importing EPS, PS and Adobe PDF files .
• Import/Export Files SignPal imports and exports a variety of vector and bitmap file formats, such as CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Clip Art, DXF, AutoCAD, Photoshop, TIFF, BMP, JPG, PhotoCD and FlashPix .
• Preview While designing, users are able to scale and view graphics with a full preview, not just a bounding box. Laying out designs is a truly interactive experience. Raster objects become transparent when placed over another object, while text and vector objects appear in their opposite color.
• Editable Guidelines and Grids To create perfect layouts, SignPal allows users to place guidelines or grids anywhere in the drawing area. With SignPal's new layering system, the guides can be hidden or locked, and any object can be used as a guide.
• Snap SignPal can snap objects, points and paths to text, grids, guides and other elements in a design.
• Measuring Tool This tool measures horizontal and vertical distances and angles, as well as exact coordinates of points
• Integrated Color Bitmap and Vector Layout Users can seamlessly lay out photographic images with vector-based text and graphics. This allows for complete interweaving of several types of objects to create eye-catching designs.
• Align SignPal gives users the ability to quickly align objects to each other by certain ways such as, center, left, right etc.
• Spacing Objects can be evenly spaced according to the edges specified.
• Use of TrueType or Type 1 Fonts Any TrueType or Type 1 font installed on the computer can be used without the hassle of converting the font or creating additional file
• Library of High-Quality Fonts Designers can easily get exactly what they want because SignPal includes popular fonts licensed from the worlds leading font foundries.
• Regular Text Text can be typed directly on the design area, so users can quickly visualize the text within the design.
• Arc Text SignPal easily creates text which flows in a perfect circle. All aspects of arc text can be specified by the user and choices can be manually adjusted in DesignCentral.
• Path Text Users can directly type text along any path or object and then align, kern, center and justify path text just like any other text. If the path is edited, the text will automatically redistribute itself.
• Auto Kerning SignPal includes automatic kerning to ensure that the text looks great at any size.
• Text Justification SignPal enables the text to be justified to the left, right, center or fully to fit in a specified text block. Users can fully justify by line or by word.
• Join Together/Break Apart Text Using this command, text can either be separated into different blocks, or multiple blocks of text can be easily joined together.
• Built-in Spell Checking SignPals spell checker can check either selected text or the entire design, preventing costly mistakes and misspellings. The comprehensive dictionary contains over 100,000 words and suggests replacements.
• Design Central is the one-stop home for all designing needs. This powerful feature increases productivity by placing everything the user needs in one location.
• Quick Edit The SignPal user has the ability to instantaneously on-screen edit or update any effect applied to any object. The shadow is automatically updated; there's no need to enter a separate editor.
• Quick Shapes QuickHandles enable designers to create innovative shapes from basic design elements.
• Undos and Redos SignPal has added an Undo and Redo List to make editing designs even easier. It lists all the steps used in the signs creation. (Not available in Apprentice multiple Redo/Undo)
• Repeat Last This allows users to repeat the last action taken in the design.
• Mirror Users can mirror any design element vertically, horizontally or along any angle.
• Rotation Every element can be rotated to any angle. Users can rotate objects freehand or specify an exact angle for greater precision when designing.
• Built-in Cutter Drivers GCC cutter drivers is available only.
• Production Manager To optimize production efficiency. Production Manager processes jobs so users can return to designing quickly. Jobs can be received over a network and Production Manager can simultaneously output to multiple devices.
